Engaging in reflective practice, as described in Danielson Domain 4a, is important in my classroom because it helps me continually grow and improve as an educator. By evaluating my teaching methods, student outcomes, and classroom dynamics, I can identify what works well and where adjustments may be needed. This reflection allows me to make informed decisions about how to better support my students, enhance my instructional strategies, and create a more effective learning environment. It also sets an example for students, demonstrating the value of self-assessment and the importance of continuous improvement in all aspects of life. Below is a reflection of a lesson that was taught to senior students in High School.
