Eve Sandoval is a dedicated and passionate EDM candidate at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education, where she is preparing to become a dance teacher in K-12 schools. Eve completed full-time student teaching under the mentorship of Amanda Esteves at Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy in Elizabeth. Eve graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, a school that has played a significant role in shaping her artistic identity. During her time there, she studied and collaborated with many talented individuals, ranging from fellow students to esteemed faculty members such as John Evans, Paul Ocampo, and Alessandra Williams. These teachers, and many others, enriched Eve’s understanding of dance as an art form and a means of communication.
Before transferring to Rutgers, they laid a solid foundation for their dance career by earning an Associate in Fine Arts at Raritan Valley Community College. There she studied under Artistic Director Loretta Fois, and professors Lauren Beirne, Marissa Aucoin, and Karen Verso. It was during this time that Eve began to hone her technique and artistry as a dancer, immersing herself in various styles and techniques that would later influence her teaching. Eve also received the Nota Bene Award, honoring her creative choreography works at RVCC. Because her dedication to her craft is evident through her rigorous training and her consistent pursuit of growth as an artist, Eve began teaching at Latin Groove Dance Academy in Bayonne, NJ, where she taught ages four years old to adults.
Eve’s journey in dance began at Bayonne High School. This formative experience nurtured her talent, fueled her aspirations, and deepened her interest in the art form. As a young student, Eve studied Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Belly Dance at dance studios. Each genre contributed to her versatile repertoire and equipped her with the tools needed to empower future students, fostering their own creative journeys in the world of dance. Through her experiences, Eve aims to instill in students the same passion for dance that has guided her throughout her life.
