Domain 4: Principled Teaching

4d: Contributing to School Community and Culture

Contributing to the school community and culture, as outlined in Danielson Domain 4d, is important in my classroom because it helps create a positive, collaborative environment that extends beyond my own students. By actively participating in school initiatives, supporting colleagues, and engaging in professional learning, I help build a culture of shared responsibility and continuous improvement. This involvement not only enhances my teaching but also fosters a sense of unity and purpose across the school. When students see their teacher contributing to the broader school community, it models the importance of teamwork, respect, and active citizenship. Below is a flyer that I created for a 100 years celebration which was given to all students' families, and different areas of the community.
