Engaging students in learning, as described in Danielson Domain 3c, is essential in my classroom because it ensures that students are actively involved and invested in their own learning process. When lessons are interactive, meaningful, and tailored to students’ interests and needs, they are more likely to stay focused, participate, and retain information. I use a variety of instructional strategies—such as hands-on activities, collaborative work, and real-world connections—to make learning relevant and exciting. This high level of engagement fosters curiosity, encourages deeper understanding, and supports a classroom culture where every student is motivated to succeed. Below is an example of students requesting music that they like to listen to which helps my classroom be culturally relevant and flexible for students' interests.
